Harbor Light Summer Adventures is a traditional day camp located in Fairfield , CT for children 4-12 years of age. Our number one priority at camp is to provide a safe and fun environment where campers can learn, grow and make new friends. A carefully selected, experienced and well-trained staff will lead the way as we journey through a variety of exciting theme weeks and traditional camp activities. The “Theme of the Week” complements regular camp activities and culminates with special celebrations on Fridays. Don’t miss out! Join us for a session or an entire summer to remember.

•Our 2010 summer camp season runs from July 5th through August 27th and is divided into four two-week sessions.
•Camp runs from 9 am until 2 pm. We also offer an extended camp day from 2 pm until 4 pm.

•Campers bring a bagged lunch and personal clothing items in a backpack daily. Worried about what to bring? Don’t worry, included in your registration packet is a camper check-list so all campers have what they need to participate in every camp activity.

• Weekly community outings complement our in-house program for all campers.

• We offer supplemental community adventures for campers entering first grade and older.

Session 1 July 5th- July 16th

Week 1- Nature Detectives ~ July 5-9

Solve mysteries from clues left behind by local wildlife. Student detectives will bring their own nature detective equipment with spy glasses and bug catcher and nets in hand. We’ll explore local habitats and use the tools of the trade to make exciting discoveries.

Week 2– Top Chef ~ July 11-July 16

Where else would our campers experience drinking bug juice to eating ants on a log and chocolate covered pretzel spiders? Come join us for a fun filled week of camp style snacks that our campers will prepare themselves.

Session 2 July 19th- July 30th

Week 3– Talent Show ~ July 19-23

Campers will work together during the week to produce their own talent show. Props and performances will be brought to life by each camper in his or her own way.

Week 4– Pirates of the Caribbean ~ July 26-30

Ayyyy, Matey!! Pirate maps and eye patches put you right in the middle of all the swashbuckling action.

Session 3 August 2nd- August 13th

Week 5– Space and Sea ~ August 2-6

Campers will explore and learn about outer-space, the planets, and stars while also learning about what lurks beneath the ocean waves. Campers will discover that both the sea and outer space are mysterious and magical!

Week 6– Mystery Week ~ August 9-13

BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND.......A priceless piece of art has gone missing and campers will have to try to solve the mystery. Campers will become detectives and do their best “Sherlock Holmes” impressions. Activities will include creating and taking part in scavenger and treasure hunts.

Session 4 August 16th - August 27th

Week 7- Carnival ~ August 16-20

Each group of campers will get the opportunity to create their own carnival booth. At the end of the week, the whole camp gets to enjoy the first annual Harbor Light Carnival!

Week 8– The Last Hoorah!!! ~ August 23-27

Enjoy one last hurrah as we put together the Best of the Best week, including all of your favorite games and camp activities.
